Most of trail is on a railroad track. A still, cool and deep stretch of river, its located in a deep oxbow gorge where the San Lorenzo makes a sweeping left turn around an island and hits a ridge. The mountain spring water stays pretty cool year-round, making it the perfect destination on a hot Santa Cruz Mountains summer day. The San Lorenzo river is NOT cross able. Very adventurous! This trail features a giant swimming hole for hot days and a couple of river crossings. Skinny Dip Falls. Hopefully it opens back up soon!
